Our Purpose!

This site is designed primarily for the purpose of recording and sharing the family histories of Jerry L. Wood III and Shawn Friedrich Thompson (both born in 2004). Other associated families will be listed here as well.  We would like to ultimately be the one source where all can go to find any family members originating or passing through Northampton and Hertford counties of North Carolina.  This will include Blacks, Whites, Indians and any others.  Many of the White families may hold keys to gaps in Black family records as their ancestors may have been slave owners.

I Remember

This section is set aside for all of us to record our remembrances of loved ones past.  If you have a special remembrance about someone who has gone on to glory, please share it with us that it may not be forgotten.  Keep it brief.  If you were told the story by someone else then share that too. Please, no bashing or vengeful remarks will be recorded no matter how true. "...for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." Romans 12:9 KJV.  Some examples include Frank Wood, William Wood Sr., and Sarah Ann (Parks) Ridley.
