I remember that Grandpa Frank was an Honorable man, an entrepreneur and well respected in the community. To my knowledge, he was the first in our Wood line to own and run his own business. He owned and ran the local fish market.

Pappa Frank was well respected in the community by both whites and blacks. I remember many people referred to him as "Frank Wood if he could" and he would sometimes say, "Yes Sir, I would if I could, but I can't right now and I need help..."
